Understanding Network Level

Network Level is designed to make sharing training simple without giving everyone access to everything.

Think of it like this:

  • The Network manages the training it owns.
  • Each Organization manages its own employees and company-specific training.

That's it.

What Can the Network Do?

The Network can:

  • View every organization in the network and their employees.
  • Create and assign Network-owned training to any organization.
  • See reporting for all training, whether the Network assigned it or an organization did.
  • Create employee contacts and transfer ownership to an organization.

Once a contact is transferred, the organization becomes the owner. The Network can still view the contact, but it can no longer edit it.

What Can Organizations Do?

Organizations can:

  • View and assign all Network-owned training to their own employees.
  • View reporting for their own employees.
  • Create and manage their own company-specific training.

Training created by an organization stays private to that organization. Other organizations in the network—and even the Network itself—cannot see or manage it.

A Simple Example

Imagine a Network manages training for three companies: Company A, Company B, and Company C.

The Network creates an OSHA Orientation course.

  • Company A can assign it to its employees.
  • Company B can assign it to its employees.
  • Company C can assign it to its employees.

Because the Network owns the course, it can see reporting across all three companies.

Now Company A creates its own New Hire Orientation course.

  • Company A can assign it and report on it.
  • Company B cannot see it.
  • Company C cannot see it.
  • The Network cannot see it.

In other words:

  • If the Network owns the training, the Network can see everything related to that training.
  • If an organization owns the training, only that organization can see it.
