Setting Up Your Microphone
The first time you record audio in Ving, you’ll need to allow Adobe Flash Player to access your microphone. These settings will be saved in your browser.
Follow the steps below to enable microphone access and begin recording audio.
Step 1: Allow microphone access
When the Adobe Flash Player Settings window appears, select Allow and check Remember at the bottom of the window.
This gives the app.vingapp.com website permission to use your microphone for recording audio in Ving. These settings will be saved in your browser so you will not need to repeat this step each time.
Step 2: Confirm your microphone
Use the Choose Microphone dropdown to confirm the correct microphone is selected.
If your device has multiple microphones available (such as a headset or USB microphone), select the one you want to use for recording.
Step 3: Record your audio
Once your microphone is selected, return to the Ving record audio window.
-
Click Record when you are ready to begin recording.
-
Click Stop when you are finished recording.
Your audio response will then be saved.
Note
If your browser history is cleared or your browser settings are reset, these permissions may also reset. If this happens, you will need to repeat this setup process to allow microphone access again.
