This article will walk you through clearing your browser cache.
Sometimes it may be helpful to clear your browsing data for basic troubleshooting since your browser stores code and images from the Internet.
*Be sure to exit out of the browser and reopen a new browsing session after clearing your cache.
Clearing Cache in Chrome
1. From the Chrome dropdown menu, select Clear Browsing Data.
- This will redirect you to your Chrome Settings and prompt you to clear your browsing history.
2. In the dialog box, check the box next to cached images and files as well as any other types of data you would like to delete.
- You are also given the choice to specify a time period of data to clear.
3. Click Clear Browsing Data.
Clearing Cache in Safari
1. From the Safari dropdown menu, select Clear History.
- This will bring up a window prompting you to clear your browsing history within a specified time period.
2. Click Clear History.
Clearing Cache in Firefox
1. From the Firefox navigation bar, select History.
2. From the dropdown menu, select Clear Recent History.
- This will bring up a window prompting you to clear your browsing history within a specified time period.
- Under the details dropdown menu, you can select what type of data you wish to clear. Be sure to check the box next to Cache.
3. Click Clear Now.
Clearing Cache in Internet Explorer
1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the browser > Safety > Delete Browsing History.
2. Uncheck the box next to preserve favorites website data.
3. Check the box next to temporary internet files and website files.
4. Click delete.
