How To: Use Ving For Daily Checklists

It can be cumbersome to keep track of paper checklists. The switch to ving will allow you to share and track all analytics from your desk.

The first step in using Ving for checklists are to set up the ving. Once you have this done you can follow one of the two methods listed below.

Method 1

1. Navigate to your daily checklist ving.

2. Click Share.

3. Click Invite.

4. Put in the label, list, filter, or person who you want to get the daily checklist.

5. At the end of the day navigate back to the ving.

6. Click Recreate.

7. Click Revise.

8. Adjust anything that needs adjusted and then click Publish.

Doing this every day will give you a history of who was invited and completed and didn't complete the ving every day that it is reset and sent out.

Method 2

1. Navigate to your daily checklist ving.

2. Click Share.

3. Click QR Code.

4. Download and post the QR Code in an area related to the checklist. For example: If it is an equipment checklist post it near or on the equipment.

5. At the end of the day navigate back to the ving.

6. Click Recreate.

7. Click Revise.

8. Adjust anything that needs adjusted and then click Publish.

Doing this will remove the need to share the ving every day while still getting you tracking for who has completed the checklist. This way will not get you a populated list of who has not done the checklist.

Both of these methods can be turned into a weekly update task instead of a daily task by setting up a checklist for each day of the week.

You can set up a checklist by simply copying the ving.

1. Find the ving.

2. Click Recreate.

3. Click Copy.

4. Add the day of the week to the title.

5. Click publish.

After you have a ving for each day of the week follow one of the methods above. This way will only have to revise and publish the vings once a week instead of every day.
